Description
We made a very successful upgrade to the XO rod series by introducing the XO Graphene rods. We wanted to do the same for the Merisuola range as the Merisuola’s and Graphene’s are truly meant to be together. With this new material available for these rods, and with it being the strongest tested material in the world, these rods are just begging for you to grab it, go out, and hunt bigger game. When one of these rods are cast for the first time, you can tell the difference right away.
Graphene.
It makes it possible to make stronger rods with less material which results in, action-wise, unbelievable strength combined with a smooth action. The backbone of the Merisuola Graphene family consists of four pieces of lightweight fast-action saltwater rods targeted at everything between the Caribbean bonefish, Baltic seatrout, and the GTs of the Pacific. These rods incorporate everything we have learned during our 20+ years of rod design and manufacturing.
We give a rating for the carbon that is used in each of our graphite rods. The higher the number, the higher the modulus of the carbon that is used for the rod. The rating is closely related to the tonnage of the carbon in each of the rods. However, that isn’t the whole truth as we use different carbon mixtures to achieve the wanted rod action. The resin we use also differ from model to model. That said, this rating is an indication of the main carbon used in the blank. Our premium rods use graphene in the resin and the rods are identified via the Graphene logo.
