Vision Fly Fishing

Vision in FlyFishing – Worldwide

Fly Fishing is not only a fun sport for us. We at Vision also love developing fly tackle and promoting this great way of using your valuable free time. Being serious but having fun at the same time and not forgetting the main issues of fly fishing has taken us to the position we have today. There’s Vision in fly fishing in over 30 countries world wide.

VISION STAFF

People often ask who’s behind the Vision brand and what kind of people they are. This year we decided to pull the curtain aside a little and reveal this “secret”. We are the band who plays music on stage and behind the scenes. But just as in any good music, the band isn’t everything. It’s the tunes, the melodies and the feeling they put together. We are not posing as a world famous rock band. Our creations, Vision products, are the ones to make a splash, tell our story and create the Vision feeling. And just as in every band, we also need fans. To us fans are more like people who work with us, help us, and who dig us around the world. Without you we wouldn’t rock so hard live.

Vision Signature Rod and Reels

XO Fly Rod

Vision started the XO project in 2013. The goal was to make a rod that exceeds all the rods they have made so far in every aspect. In this time Vision have tried and tested a lot of different combinations of materials and actions. Good enough was not going to cut it – it had to be as close to perfect as possible. They also wanted to add something that tells about their origins in Finland.

  • Natural unsanded and unpainted blank for the best action
  • Novel silica nano resin combined with a mix of different carbon fibres
  • Finnish Curly Birch wooden insert
  • Up-locking precision machined aluminum reel seat
  • High density cork with rubber cork reinforcements
  • Patented single leg REC nickel titanium alloy snake guides
  • Titanium stripping guides from American Tackle Company
  • Supplied in a custom aluminium tube with engraved metal end caps together with a cloth bag
  • Designed and developed in Finland

XO Fly Reel

When you manage to launch a premium fly rod series which is received well by your fellow anglers, it is pretty obvious, that you want to do that also with your new fly reel. A premium reel requires a world-class brake, plenty of line capacity, a light but still solid construction and last but definitely not least a unique design to separate it clearly from all the other reels on the market. Those were Vision main objectives when they set out to do just that with their novel XO fly reels. Light large-arbour reel with a well tested brake design and super cool outlook is their new premium product to complement nicely for example their top of the line XO fly rods. 3-4 class reel is implemented with a adjustable click brake for the ultimate lightness, whereas 5/6 and 7/8 have sealed disc brake with stainless steel & carbon discs. All moving parts are greased with SKF’s water resistant bearing grease. 7/8 has full body rim for those who like to use thin monofilament running lines.

  • Lightweight
  • Precision machined
  • Plenty of space
  • #3-4 | #5-6 | #7-8
  • Perfect match for XO rods
  • Rubberized handle

  • Designed and developed in Finland

Merisuola Fly Rod

The backbone of the family consists of four piece lightweight fast action saltwater rods targeted to three classical shallow water species – bonefish, permit and tarpon. These rods incorporate everything Vision has learned during the 20 years of rod design and manufacturing – and then some.

  • A natural unsanded and unpainted blank for the best action
  • Unique silica nano resin combined with a mix of different carbon fibres
  • Adouble nut up-locking precision machined aluminum reel seat
  • Patented REC nickel titanium stripping and snake guides
  • Full wells handles with AAAA Portuguese cork with rubber cork enforcement.
  • Fighting butt size varies with each rod weight and has a target species branded on the end cap of the FB
  • Supplied in a custom aluminum tube with engraved metal end caps together with a cloth bag
  • Tested all over the world by sailfish, tarpon, permit, jacks, bonefish etc…

Just recently Vision introduced three additional models to complement Merisuola family: one #6 for those ideal conditions when your favorite shallow flat is dead calm and you can see tails and backs everywhere, one #7 specially designed for coastal seatrout fishing and a generic #9 workhorse especially suitable for pike/barracuda fishing everywhere where you can find those aggressive toothy critters.
