This is a variation pattern spin off from Stu Thompson’s DDH Leech… a very effective pattern which recently caught me some Red Tail Cat fish…
Stu’s Original DDH Leech have landed over 70 species.
DDH Leech Variation
Materials:
Hook – Gamakatsu S11-4L size 8-6
Eye – Bead chain
Tail – Marabou, Sili leg and flashabou
Body – Palm rabbit fur
Step by step tying instruction:
Tie in the bead chain
Tie in the marabou
Spin the marabou to the hook and tie down, trim the balance
Tie in the flashabou and sili legs
Palm in the rabbit fur
Palm in the rabbit fur cover the bead chain
Whip finish and the fly is ready
Another Lazy Man DDH leech pattern with I name it Palm Chenille Leech which is very easy to tie and you can tie a dozen in no time….

Materials:
Hook – Gamakatsu S11-4L size 8-6
Tail – Marabou
Body – Palm Chenille
Eye – Bead Eye
Step by step tying instructions:
Repeat step as above
Tie in the Palm Chenille
Palm in the chenille
Palm the chenille cover the bead chain, tie down and trim the extra, whip finish.
